My Favorite Strategy Against Magic Attacks and an Amazing Battle
- Wands Out: You can only summon units with magic attacks.
- Explosive Weaponry: All units have Blast (deals an additional 50% damage to units adjacent to the target, rounded up).
- Counterspell: All units have Magic Reflect (returns 50% of magic damage to attacker, rounded up).
According to the ruleset of the battle, in this battle all Units will have the Blast and Magic Reflect abilities and can only summon units with magic attacks, honestly these are my favorite rulesets, and they will also allow me to use my favorite strategy, and my opponent's job is really difficult in this battle.
First of all, I chose Immortalis as the Summoner without any hesitation. Thanks to Immortalis, all Units in my team will have Void and Shatter abilities. And thanks to the Void Ability, they will take less damage from both Magic Attacks, Magic Reflect, and Blast. I will especially add Units with 1 or 2 magic attacks to my team so they will not take any damage from Magic Reflect (if the opposing player does not have Amplify in their lineup). Additionally, successful attacks from Units with the Shatter Ability will destroy the target's armor, thus preventing Void Armor from being useful to the opponent in this battle.
Also, I included the Amplify Ability in my lineup so enemies will take +1 more damage from Magic Reflect. And healing abilities are very useful in these types of battles, so I also included Tank Heal and Triage abilities in my lineup. Tank Heal Ability restores 1/3 of max health (rounded down) to the allied unit in the first position each round. Triage Ability restores 1/3 of max health (rounded down) to the allied backline unit that has taken the most damage each round.
Round 1
Frankly, my opponent's strategy was also pretty good. It was smart to choose Aquatus as the summoner, who grants the Backfire Ability to all friendly Units. The opposing player's lineup also had the Amplify ability. Fortunately, the opposing team didn't have many Units with the Void ability,, which would make my team's job much easier. I think having a summoner like Immortalis is a great advantage in these types of battles, which is exactly why I strongly recommend you consider adding the Immortalis card to your deck.
The combination of Magic Reflect Ability and Amplify Ability worked really well and 4 Units in the opposing team's backline were destroyed with just the back damage they took from Magic Reflect, which clearly showed how effective this combination is against magic attacks. The Void Ability was very useful for my team, and no one from my team was destroyed. In short, in the first round, 5 Units from the opposing team were destroyed, while no one from my team was destroyed. Only Djinn Oshannus managed to survive on the opposing team, as he had high health and the Void Ability.
Round 2
Djinn Oshannus is very hard to hit and will be hard to destroy, but there wasn't much he could do against my strategy and will eventually be destroyed too.
Round 3
In the third round, Djinn Oshannus was also destroyed and my team was able to win the battle. In particular, the combination of Magic Reflect and Amplify made it much easier to destroy Djinn Oshannus.
The battle only lasted 3 rounds and my team won the battle pretty easily. At the end of the battle, while all Units on the opposing team were destroyed, all Units on my team were still alive and the most interesting thing was that they appeared to have taken almost no damage, clearly showing how well my strategy had worked. As I explained above, using Magic Reflect, Amplify and Void abilities together is very useful against magic attacks, and this battle was a good example of this, which is exactly why it is my favorite strategy.
