[Rogue retro gaming] Castle Wolfenstein (Apple II)
In a time before Call of Duty, Medal of Honor and even the first Metal Gear game, there was one of the first stealth shooter games based on killing Nazis around world war II, in history on the Apple II computer with actual sounds and a voice, it was called Castle Wolfenstein.
The plot
Castle Wolfenstein, centered on an allied soldier (controlled by you) most likely a spy who entered into a spy mission to a castle called Wolfenstein (hence the title) full of Nazis, with the objective of finding Nazi's plans of war and live to tell the tale.
Stealth shooter
There are two methods of going through the game, like in all shooter you can go guns blazing killing every basic Nazi guard and SS stormtrooper you cross paths with (although bullets are pretty scarce) or stealing a uniform from a dead Nazi and walking by guard without being noticed but there is a risk of getting noticed by SS stormtroopers and get exposed.
In-game voices you said?
One of the allures of the game it was that it was one of the first games to have digitalized voices, they were of a poor quality but it was clear that at times Nazi soldiers were shouting "Halt!" (Stop) and "Kommen Sie!"(Come).
Did you know about the existence of Castle Wolfenstein?
If you have a story regarding Castle Wolfenstein or any Apple II game, please comment.

awesome! I love these retro games, they are super fun x
Yes, they are! can sometimes be frustrating since I'm not so accustomed to playing them (I'm playing them as a take a quick look of them) but they are really fun and simple.
