COVERING E3 2018 DAY 3 UBISOFT
Ubisoft is up next, and not much is known for what they may have under their sleeves aside form The Division and For Honor, today we find out. Ubisoft what do you have for us this year?
The conference officially starts with our host Kim Weigend and Justin Levy as everyone in attendance is welcomed. We then cut to the screen where a dance number is presented featuring a man in a panda suit and others in costumes as well. I am weirded out and confused, but hey its fun and cringy so why the hell not right? Well, it turns out its a big promotional segment for the first game on our list. Just Dance 2019 coming this October.
Beyond Good and Evil 2
Next up we go to space and see what looks like a space pirate ship with a crew consisting of what looks like a mystical elderly, a pig man for a cook and an ape manning the helm, also Domino is there flying a ship. For fans of the game you would most likely already know what this game is. Yes, Beyond Good and Evil is back with its sequel Beyond Good and Evil 2. Gabriel Shrager the Narrative Director along with Guilaume Brunier Senior Producer for Beyond Good and Evil 2 enters the stage and gives us the plot elements of the game as well as gameplay footage of the game. It shows an open universe game with some platforming and jet riding.
Hit Record Tries its Hands on Gaming
Gabriel and Guilamme then announce that there is an open invitation for everyone to contribute music, artwork, and ideas for the game. Well, that sounds good and all but how are they going to do it? Enter Joseph Gordon-Levitt Co-Founder of Hit Record. Hit Record is basically a professional open collaborative production company. I could try to explain who they are but I'm not too sure myself, so I guess we should just look them up together. From what I understand though Beyond Good and Evil 2 will collaborate with Hit Records to directly communicate with fans to create a game for the fans and by the fans.
Rainbow Six Siege and Another Mindset
Justin Kruger community Manager of Rainbow Six Siege enters and proudly announce that Rainbow six Siege now has 35 million players. Moving forward, Justin discussed the plans for the future of Pro League in Rainbox Six Siege. He also announces a documentary about said pro league called Another Mindset, It follows 35 million players and the full documentary is said to be released from August 13 to 19 2018.
Trials Rising
A man riding a motorcycle sporting a daredevil inspired get up enters the arena and goes on stage only to crash into the podium. This man Is Antti Ivessuo, creative director of Trials Rising the next game on our list. A Trailer for the game is shown. Trials is an ongoing franchise about motocross racing mixed in with puzzle solving developed by RedLynx and Ubisoft. It's making a comeback and RedLynx are looking for beta players to test out the game later this year. The official game will be available 02/2019 across all consoles.
The Division 2
Julian Gerighty Creative Director for the Division 2 enters to a roar of applause from the audience. Julian then proceeded to detail the plot of the division. An apocalyptic USA brought upon a virus that was released 7 months prior set in Washington D.C. A brand new awesome trailer was shown showing the environments around the game. After the trailer, Julian once again enters the stage to provide details about the gameplay. It looks like characters will now have subclasses and choices are important as they directly impact the civilians of the world. A new mode called raid will be available for the game and for the first year of division 2 three DLC's will be released completely free.
Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle: Donkey Kong Adventures
A serene lush forest is projected on the screen as Xavier Manzaranes the lead producer for Ubisoft Paris enters the stage to promote Donkey Kong Adventures with a performance from composer Grant KirkHope and the band Critical Hits. As the band plays we see on the screen game the landscape of DonkeyKong adventures and its characters. The DLC will be available 06/26th of this year.
Skull and Bones
It's Justin Farren Creative Director for Ubisoft Singapore time to shine this time, as after showing an impressive trailer for Skull and Bones he walks the stage to explain a few things about the mechanics of the game. Skull and Bones will take place on the Indian Ocean. Players will be able to consult with a mystical fortune teller to learn about conditions such as the sea’s weather and statuses of factions in order to choose the best plan of action. The game will be released next year 2019.
Transference
Elijah Wood shows up (well, shit first Joseph Gordon-Levitt and now Frodo Himself? all we need now is the guy that looks like Daniel Radcliffe from the Devolver Digital Conference and we have ourselves a full nerd fest) Co-Founder of Spectrevision, along with Benoit Richer, Game Director for Ubisoft Montreal. Together Ubisoft and Spectrevision are joining forces to deliver an all-new interactive horror game called transference. Transference follows a scientist who has uploaded a digital simulation of his family into a computer network. The main character, who seems to be the scientist son seemed to be trapped in the simulation. The game will be available fall of 2018.
StarLink Battle for Atlas: StarFox Crossover
Ubisoft now goes full space dogfight as we take a look at the trailer of Starlink Batlle for Atlas an open-world, toy-based space game to be released on 10/16/2018. And then, out of nowhere, a crazy thing happens. Another trailer is shown, and as the presenter states "Atlas is a very harsh environment for our protagonist, and they might need some help along the way." Enter mother foxing Starfox. Starfox the one that technically started it all is going to be part of Starlink as an exclusive for Nintendo Switch players. Everyone gets hyped as Shigeru Miyamoto Mr. Nintendo himself shows up to basically confirm that this is indeed happening.
For Honor: Marching Fire
For Honor is getting an update with its newest addition Marching fire. The update will include a new faction from China, the Wu Lin, four new heroes, 4v4 multiplayer mode, and a full-on castle siege mode called Breach. Marching Fire comes out October 16, 2018.

Assasin's Creed: Oddysey
For Ubisoft's finale, we finally get more information for Assasin's Creed Odyssey. As shown on the trailer and gameplay players will be able to choose their protagonist either Alexios or Kassandra. Both Alexios and Kassandra are given the broken sphere of Leonides, a weapon that makes them especially powerful. Ship Sailing is involved in the game as it turns out. Donning different armors, shields and weapon are regular fare. There’s also horseback riding and swimming, as well as partying and well, flirting as well. Assasins Greed is shaping up to be quite a game unlike any of its other predecessors before. The game will be available 10/05/2018

THANKS! PEACE OUT!
Ubisoft more than outdid itself with this conference. They pulled off all the stops. A lot of games were introduced and with gameplay to boot. A lot of gimmicky segments that people might consider cringy were part of the conference but it didn't bother me as much, in fact, I found it rather enjoyable. Ubisoft conference was great, better than Microsoft in my opinion. Well, its time to go to our next conference as we take a look at what the PC Gaming Show has in store for us.
