If that information favorable for the PLAYER, PLAYER must take advantage of it.

DOUBLE option exactly that kind of examples , when PLYAER has big chances for a big points value, he must use it by doubling his bet.
SPLIT option. When PLAYER has two same first dealt cards there is possibility to make SPLIT of one PLAYER hand on a two separate hands, with doubling your summary value of bet.
