TALKS OF PS5 ?!¿!?
Sony has finally sat down in an interview and had a chat about the big up and coming next gen console. It’s been said to have a few new features such as 3D audio, ray tracing which pretty much means the games you play will look much better than what your use to seeing on your consoles, I’m not too sure how many games are actually going to take advantage of this to start off with however in a few years it will mostly likely be a norm. Sony have also finally add backwards compatibility meaning you can also play your PS4 games on you shiny ps5.
In terms of specs the ps5 is sounding pretty powerful which may also mean it could cost a bomb. Sony have stuck with AMD for their console throwing in a custom 7-nanometer CPU chip called the Zen 2 architecture which is part of AMD’s Ryzen 3 series. This CPU will be a massive step-up from the PS4 CPU. For the GPU Sony is using a custom graphics card but part of the Radeon Navi series. Sony have also revealed that they will be switching to using SSD hard drives instead of typical HHD, SSD have no discs in them or any other moving part this means they are much faster so you should be able to notice a significantly quicker start up time for your games as well as a faster PS4 in general.
Sony have also announced that the ps5 will support 8k which is good and all but I doubt there will be many 8k games releases and if there is your probably going to need to buy a bigger SSD. However there is the possibility of 4K games coming to our systems which means the ps5 will easily be able to support this.
There was no talk one what’s going to happen with ps vr but I will assume that the current device will be compatible with the ps5 until they most likely release a new updated version.
The ps5 sounds like it’s going to be powerful it’s sound good on paper and it will probably be good when we get to play it however I’m interested in the damage it’s going to cause to our bank accounts as this console does not sound like a cheap build but I guess we will just have wait to see what happens next.
