Weekly Update  —  Week 35: End of Pre-ICO

A new week, a new weekly update. Last week was quite eventful, since it saw the end of the Hash Rush Pre-ICO. But wait—there’s more. In this short article, we’ll also talk about our trip to Romania, how we hit our 150th member in Slack (hurray!), and our live Facebook Q&A.

And to top it all off, we have some important announcements to share! So let’s begin!

End of the Rush Coin Pre-Sale

On 1 September 2017, the Rush Coin pre-sale came to an end. Because of you, our friends, family, gamers, cryptocurrency enthusiasts and investors from all over the world, the Hash Rush pre-sale officially raised:

2600 ETH

It is incredible to see that so many of you believe in this project that combines the gaming and cryptocurrency worlds. We knew we believed in Hash Rush, and it’s both gratifying and humbling that so many of you also see its potential.

And yet, there’s still a long way to go. While the pre-sale just ended, the ICO is coming up soon, and there’s still lots and lots to do before that. Nonetheless, we really appreciate the confidence you and all investors have given us so far, and we’ll make sure to work hard to make the Rush Coin ICO an even bigger success.

Trip to Romania

While the week ended with the end of the pre-sale, the week started with a trip to Romania. Kris, Nathan, and Rafal (the two Hash Rush founders and our lead game designer) flew from Latvia and the UK to bring together our game dev team (Tractor, Set, GO!) and senior management in the city of Cluj.

It was a fruitful visit, where we had the chance to discuss game design, the upcoming milestones in the Hash Rush project, and generally improve team collaboration and communication.

Live Facebook Q&A

While in Romania, we also hosted a live Facebook Q&A. This session, broadcasted on the official Hash Rush Facebook page, was held on 31 August with Nathan, Kris, and the entire Tractor, Set, GO! team present.

In this Q&A, Kris and Nathan spoke extensively about the game development, the upcoming blockchain conferences in Stockholm and Zurich that we’re attending, Hash Rush gameplay, and a whole lot more.

At the same time, we suddenly realised we reached 150 members on our Slack channel! If you’re not a member yet, simply follow this link and maybe we’ll soon have even more Ernacks dabbing (!) as on the picture below.

Announcement: Team Size & White Paper 2.0

Over the past few weeks, we’ve answered many questions and comments from investors about our pre-sale and ICO. We quickly realised that a large amount of these questions were somehow related to our white paper. We listened to your feedback and decided that the current form of the white paper needed some improvements. That is why we worked hard last week to create a new version of our white paper. As it stands currently, we plan to publish the Hash Rush white paper 2.0 coming Wednesday 6 September.

At the same time, we want to ‘level up’ the Hash Rush project. And in order to do that, we need to expand our team. Having interviewed several candidates over the last week, we’re happy to say that we’ve come to the final stages. This week, we’ll release the names and background of our newest team members, and tell you exactly how they will help us take Hash Rush to the next level.
