Yes like the forest, to be honest I think if there was something scary out there to worry about things would turn nicely tense quickly as the atmosphere is already on point, but I feel some kind of monster attack like that should be a rare event.
i find the wolves to be most convenient, you dont have to chase them and just a few knife strikes or one headshot and they're raw material. Bears a bit less so :p
mh, other than the caveworms i havent seen any alien life but i barely done any missions so far, only offline outpost
