State of Decay adalah game bertemakan kiamat yang diakibatkan oleh Zombie yang cukup unik, karena game ini berbeda dengan beberapa game horor-survival lainnya,pada game State of Decay ini kamu tidak hanya bertugas untuk membunuh para zombie, tapi kamu diharuskan untuk membangun koloni masyarakat dari para penduduk yang berhasil selamat dari virus dan serangan para zombie, karena keunikannya, game inipun mendapat respon positif dari para gamers penggemar game zombie, State of Decay 2 sebenarnya akan dirilis pada tahun 2017 namun mengalami penundaan karena hal yang tidak diberitahukan oleh Undead Labs mereka menunda game ini hingga musim semi 2018 atau sekitar bulan maret sampai juni.

Untuk gameplay dari State of Decay 2 ini masih sama dengan game pertamanya, kamu harus mencari para penduduk yang selamat, membuat rumah atau benteng pertahanan yang bisa melindungi kalian dari para zombie, dan hal yang terpenting, kamu harus mencari bahan kebutuhan sehari-hari untuk bertahan hidup dan senjata untuk mempertahankan diri, pada game State of Decay ini kamu bisa bermain dengan player lain atau menggunakan mode co-op dengan total 4 pemain, bersama dengan player lain kalian harus membangun tempat perlindungan yang aman dan dapat kabur dengan selamat jika terjadi penyerangan oleh para zombie, pada game ini juga kamu akan mendapatkan Vaksin dimana vaksin tertentu untuk zombie-zombie tertentu, ada beberapa zombie unik yang baru yang akan muncul pada game State of Decay 2 ini, dan tentunya akan menyulitkan kalian saat bermain.
