History

This section will be very short, because the game does not provide a story. This does not say anything bad about the game, as is a racing game the focus must be other sections as is the gameplay, music and scenarios that give more detail below.

  Graphics

For several moments it is easy to be enchanted with the views given by this title and by completing a circuit you can see some changes in the weather. The soft textures of the water is surprising giving a great feeling when running on the waves.

  Sound

We can say that the game's soundtrack is very appropriate, it is well suited to the style you have. The melodies of the different tracks are perfect to acclimate environments offered by the game.

Listening to some sound effects are very successful, adapting to different situations we will encounter when playing. In addition, the characters have their own voice, the narrator speaks very clearly and accompanies very well what we do in each moment.

  Gameplay

Well, the moment arrived. To begin the control of the bikes is very easy to learn, there will be no complications when going through the circuits ... at least starting. One of our objectives on the jet ski will be to prevent it from falling off the vehicle when performing stunts or competing.

Another positive point is that it offers a good amount of game modes that will be transformed into hours of fun both individually in championships and against the clock and in multiplayer with a friend.

The game offers four main modes:

• Championship: This mode is championship, allows you to choose between three difficulties and then compete against other players controlled by the CPU.
• Timetrials: It is the time trial mode, after choosing our avatar it will allow us to take a track that we have unlocked.li>
• Stund Mode: It is about accumulating the highest number of points performing acrobatics. We can get points through hoops, jumps and pirouettes.
• 2P VS.: It is the game's multiplayer mode, where two players face off to see who will be in first position.


Add that Wave Race 64 has a decent learning curve, which is more or less the same when confronted with any other game, neither too lazy nor too hard.

Something that does not go unnoticed is the presentation of the sea, the races will make us be aware of the waves, the runners, and in turn the buoys that mark the way forward. Although good, it goes without saying that although the circuits are very varied in turn there are few of them.

In conclusion we can say that Wave Race 64 is a great title offered by the console from the big N. Its graphics are incredible, given the period to which it belongs. Exceptional animation and sound effects and together to their game modes we can be hooked for hours.

Although the game has some negative things, such as a somewhat high difficulty at the beginning and absence of Spanish, I invite you to try this great experience offered on the Nintendo 64 in its day.
