The GeForce GTX 20 will bring HDMI 2.1 and new turbo mode

Just a few hours ago we saw that NVIDIA has already started offering details about the GeForce GTX 20 to its main assemblers and that it has also started training courses for sales. These courses include the key details of this new generation and focus on offering a series of basic guidelines to take advantage of when selling a specific product.

We already told you that the GeForce GTX 20 will be based on the Touring architecture and that it is very likely that August will be maintained as the official announcement date, but we still did not have any technical details confirmed.

Thanks to the sources that are in contact with some graphics card assemblers NVIDIA we have learned that the GeForce GTX 20 will bring a new image connector. Nothing specific has been said, but since Pascal already has DisplayPort 1.4, the only option we have left is the HDMI 2.1 connector. It makes sense, since it raises the bandwidth and allows you to take advantage of large screens with 4K HDR and 120 Hz resolutions.

Another important change will be the introduction of a new turbo mode that will increase the working speeds of the GPU above what we have seen in Pascal. There is nothing concrete confirmed, but since in the current generation the 2 GHz have been reached without problems thanks to that mode we can think that Turing will go beyond that figure.

The working frequency of the GPU has quite a big impact on the performance of a graphics card, in fact it was one of the big keys in Pascal's high performance, so we may not see a significant increase in the total count of shaders but a significant increase in the speed of work, and that this allows a remarkable performance increase.
