Connection problems in online games

No matter how good the game is, a simple connection problem may put an end to the fun, and even more, make you feel anger and hate that game forever.

The game above is called The Crew, it's a MMO racing game. Huge map, stunning graphics, customizable cars, lots of people playing, the game has all it needs to be good, but it's not, because of a thing called Lag.

Every multiplayer race in The Crew is a pain, you see the other cars moving and disappearing at the same time, it's a torture. And that's bad, and sad too, i played this game for years, and i really wish it was good, if it had a nice online mode without lag i'd probably be playing it right now on my PS4, but instead my console is turned off and i'm here writing this.

Another example is a game called Warframe, it's not as good as The Crew for it's genre but let's say it does the job. The lag in this one works exactly as in The Crew, you can see both the enemies and players "teleporting" through the map, and that's really annoying.

Warframe is already kinda vague and boring, what makes playing solo just out of question. Even the game being boring, doing these boring things with your friends or random strangers would make the game a fair choice to have some fun, could be, but with that lag i can't find any way to actually have fun playing it.

Besides the lag itself, there are times when a multiplayer online game has something else, some problem that is not lag but screws with the online experience the same way, like bad matchmaking for example.

And, we can't say "bad matchmaking" without mentioning the game with the worst matchmaking system in the history of online gaming, that's right: GTA: Online. (INB4 GTA V offline is amazing though).

Now, i must say that not all the games i played had bad online mode, some few games, you know, that especially good ones that features an actually good online mode can be mentioned here too, so here is one multiplayer online shooter that features one of the best online modes that i had the pleasure to experience, Destiny.

I hope more upcoming games to be as good as this one, despite all the DLC bullshit, when it comes to the game itself, the matchmaking system, connection quality, graphics, gameplay, and stuff, this game is 10/10.
