I just achieved a new person best time on my Super Mario 64, 16 star speedrun!
As some of you may or may not know I play video games a LOT! I choose games with high skill level game play and for this reason it usually equates to speedrunning a game. Nothing is more satisfying then doing better then you have ever done on a video game when you are a hardcore gamer. High Score, Fastest Time, 100% Health & No Continue are some other examples of how to bring the game play skill of a game to a higher level. My overall preferred style is definitely speedrunning. I really enjoy racing against the clock in hopes of beating my best time by even a small amount. Here is a video of my new Personal best time
Please take a moment to enjoy the art of spedrunning. That's right I said art, let me explain.
Every speedrunners does their run a bit different, some add little action or stylish moves in when they are actually not necessary making their runs unique. For this reason I am confident calling it an art and I believe you will feel the same after watching some speedrunning videos. A very well done speedrun at the top level of game play is like poetry in motion. I hope you all feel the same and get some enjoyment out of the art of speedrunning either by simply watching or actively participating in watching live speedruns or doing them yourself.
