Pac-Man Championship edition 2 ®
Pac-Man arcade machine is much more than an icon of popular culture of the eighties, it's a milestone in the history of video games and a social phenomenon that has done much to popularize the new entertainment industry.
Even today, 35 years later, Pac-Man is considerd to be one of the most recognizable video game characters.
Unlike various spin-offs in which Pac-Man became a hero of platform and other games, Championship Edition returns to the basic version of the arcade. First of all, why Championship? Let's just say that competitions in Pac-Man from the '80s onwards - never stopped!
-The gameplay is based on the previous Chapionship edition and expanded rules from the DX version. The gameplay is generally a lot faster than the old school Pac-Man, with modern and up to date graphics which are totally in, the now very popular, retrovawe nostalgic look. With the level to be crossed without a break, and changed rules, where Pac-Man doesn't die from every contact with the spirits, opportunities for crazy action are opened. They can now be bumped a few times until they get mad, and passing by snoozing spirits you add them to a train that will chase you throughout the maze, but also poses a huge combo bonus if you get your hands on a power pellet in time. There are also jumping spots, as well as a bomb which automatically returns you to the safe position at the beginning of the level, so there's plenty of room for some serious skill play.
-In Championship Edition 2, there are two basic modes - Score Attack, in which you'll need to achieve the largest possible score for a certain period of time and Adventure mode in which there are specific tasks that involve highly innovative fights with an giant BOSS.
It is amazing how one concept over 30 years old, still can be fun and boost your adrenaline in the heat of fast-paced action, and without super realistic graphics and effects. Chapionship Edition 2 now represents the best, sleek version of the eternal classic, though enough has changed to be fresh, but the essence of the legendary, real, video game is undoubtedly still there.
