In this horror game your weapons will be only the letters and the words, because to defeat each of the monsters that attack you and hinder your path, you will have to type the phrases and words that are shown in a box on every enemy.

The Typing of the Dead was developed by WOW Entertainment almost two decades ago, however, its unique modality makes it a videogame that lasts over time. This was initially released in two versions, one for Arcade and Windows, and one for Sega Dreamcast. The latter one had a version without keyboard, so it adopted the name of The House of the Dead.

After this title, it was released The Typing of the Dead: Overkill for Microsoft Windows, either a version for consoles with the name of The House of the Dead: Overkill, available for Nintendo Wii, PlayStation 3, iOS and Android.
