Variants

There are quite a handful of offshoots to Angband. The original is considered to be Vanilla Angband. Some are more complicated and some are simpler. I've probably played 90 percent of them and they are all fun in their own right.

Trying to find out which ones are still being developed is a bit tougher, sometimes a variant that hasn't had an update in years will get one out of the blue. So I have three links that will lead you to variant heaven.

First one is the Angband Ladder Community at oook Click Here
This list includes some that haven't been updated in years, but they are all playable. If you click on each variant it will also include a small description.

Second one is the Zaimoni download archive Click Here
This is just what it sounds like, huge list of variants in a file index tree format. No descriptions but a lot of variants that you can download and play to your hearts content.

Third is located at RogueBasin which is an awesome site that keeps track of roguelikes. Click Here
This is another list similar to the first link but in a wiki style format. I actually encourage you to click to the RogueBasin main page and explore roguelikes of all shapes and sizes.

Update on Sir Oink's progress. He is sitting at level 18, so should be able to post next part soon. He has actually been really fun to play.
