SUPER SMASH BROTHERS

This is it folks. The name says it all. Super smash bros ultimate is here and it does not disappoint. By far the best entry into the entire series for a number of reasons.

The roster (trying to avoid spoilers so didn’t use a legit pic of it)

The roster is massive clocking in at a whopping 70 + fighters this baby has it all. From the classic 8 that started it all right up to an entire group of new awesome fighters that includes every fighter ever from the series. Looks like fox and Mario have some serious battles ahead 🤭🧐💪

Into the thick of it...

Wether you want to take the battle online or hit the couch with friends or even go it alone this game has something to offer everyone. The story mode is insanely huge and full of depth boasting a range of massive cameos of characters that aren’t in the game as fighters it’s a wild ride in itself that is guaranteed to keep you guessing and wanting more. Classic mode is back with an individual challenge for each of the fighters and some pretty wild and new unique bosses that would make even master hand quiver. The online is pretty good it really does seem to depend on the host for quality of connection and frame rate a lot but I’m sure over time Nintendo will figure it out. Also new to the game is the spirit board where you can participate in unique challenge fights to unlock fighter spirits for use in the story mode ( I won’t go into detail on spirits just enjoy that surprise 😛)

The future.

If 70 + fighters and 100+ stages wasn’t enough to make you bust through the front door to get a copy Nintendo also has announced an additional 6 characters to be added as future dlc the first of 2 being classic pirhanna plant and joker from the persona series. Each dlc fighter pack will include 1 fighter 1 stage and 2 sound tracks so there’s for sure going to be plenty of reasons to keep on coming back for more smashing good times.

Final results !

All said and done this game is fantastic for newbies and returning champions alike. I couldn’t recommend this game enough if you have a Nintendo switch or need a reason to get off the fence and buy one. Hands down could have been a game of the year contender had it not come out December 7th. Smash on
