RE: Big Test: Destiny 2 - How Good is This Season's Hottest Action title? [Game Review]

in #gaming7 years ago

After buying Destiny 1, i will never do the same mistake again. However i played the beta, and pvp felt boring with long cooldowns and fewer players. Strike has the same pattern as first game. It is just next moneymilking sequel..

I dunno man. I was a little disappointed with Destiny in some ways. I guess I hyped it up a bit. I mean Bungie making a FPS World of Warcraft on console. Thats like gaming porn right there. It didn't deliver to my expectations that's for sure but the gameplay was super tight. To this day it has to have the best feeling controls of any console FPS I've played. I loved the random world events too. I always hoped they'd make them more of a main feature but they were cool none the less. I quit when I hit the first max light level cap and never got into any of the raids. I just really think they dropped the ball on the story and on the end game. If they had simple matchmaking for raids in game I probably would have stuck around a lot longer. But I still got well over 50 hours of gaming out of Destiny before I quit. Even with it's flaws its an easy A rated game for me with A++ being the top and Last of Us being my favorite. So the prospects of more of the same but better story and more varied levels has me all kinds of excited. At the very least if it's just like Call of Duty sequels and it's just a re-skinned rehash of the same old game that means it should still be a good game. Maybe not a long term prospect like a real MMO but a great one time through the campaign and do a few strikes before returning it :)

I agree with everything you say, but you gotta be careful before buying any game these days. Hype is bad

Yea you make some good points, especially the fewer players aspect I didn't like...
