Hello Steemians!

Over the last 4 months of being on steemit, I have posted about a few different topics, ranging from crypto-currency news all the way to fractal designs. So today I wanted to try something new.

Today I want to share with you a quick review of the free-to-play game WARFRAME , which is developed and very well sustained by the company know as Digital Extremes.
Warframe has been around for the last 4 years, growing into a game with a huge database of active users and supporters who has been the sole reason for this game being capable of being where it is today

At the time of writing this, warframe ranks in at 5th place on the top 25 games played on Steam (PUBG being in first place ofcourse :p) , and with a registerd usecount of 26 000 000(million)!

So what makes people go all crazy over this game?(even though it is not being talked about a lot) and why is a free-to-play game at 5th ranking on this list? Lets take a look at the basic game mechanics to try and understand:

Warframe is a very unique game that combines a lot of different aspects and elements to form an exciting and almost "god-like" experience for the player. Every mission hurls waves of enemies at you to destroy with any weapon you find pleasing.

Now it is a 3rd person game focused a lot on action with some similarities to that of the Destiny games But houses a new gameplay experience that allows the characters known as "Tenno" to be free with a lot more available movements.

There are also different aspects to the weaponary and visual mechanics that makes it truly unique. Anything from your gun, all the way to the ship you use to head to new missions can be modified and changed.

Now lets take a closer look at the individual mechanics and overlays available to the users disposal.

Warframes & weaponary:

Oberon

My personal favorite aspect of this game will be the super high detailed and awesome looking "Warframe" suits available to buy/discover and use.

Every warframe can have its color scheme changed and there is plenty of attachments to make your metal Ninja suit stand out over the others. For my gameplay I am currently using the Oberon warframe with a white/orange theme to match the @gingerninja part ;)

There are a lot of different frames to choose from, and every single on brings forth different abilities and specialities that make them even more special. Some of the latest warframes are obviously harder to attain than others.Luckily these frames can be built by farming resources to build the parts, or simply buying them from the internal warframe market.

Now the huge arsenal of weapons each tenno has available to find/buy is insane! Thers are 3 types of weapons each warframe can have equipped: A Primary Weapon , Secondary Weapon and then ofcourse your ninja like Melee weapons.

Primary & Secondary weapons:

Melee weapons:

Scindo Prime

It does not matter if you would like to have all 3 weapons equipped and burn ammo through enemies, or just simpy equip your melee weapon and head into a mission like the true ninja you are, Warframe has you covered!

With over 250 weapons to choose from, it is really up to the player to decide which type of threat he will be to the enemies(there is even bows and nunchucks available to use!)

You need to keep on looting for resources to build the parts:

Every weapon that you decide to spend your time on finding the parts for to build will actually take "real world time" to create. This means you wont simply collect a weapon and just level it up to max rank, but the game will make you wait and come back looking forward to using your newly crafted weapon after the required waiting period.

Each weapon will require new types of parts that will be scattered across the universe for you to go find and explore!

You can upgrade every warframe and weapon by adding "mods":

Apart from the basic leveling system of your Warframe and Weapons where you level up by killing enemies, there is a modding system in place to improve all the affects of your equipment on the enemies.

These mods come in card like shaped forms that can be discovered scattered across the maps of every mission.

Pets and companions:

Even though you are a super cool space ninja that can really handle most of the enemies on your own, the game features a companion slot in which you can choose from a few different creatures.

Ranging from odd looking flying space worms that shoots lasers to your enemies all the way to Dog like creatures that will follow you around and shred up anyone who comes close to you!

Every companion can be upgraded, and have its visuals modified to your desire!

Missions & Gameplay:

Now comes the most important part that makes this game so special, the ACTION!

This game is a very complex game with most RPG featuresplaced in a space theme enviroment. The game allows you as Tenno to explore every planet available in your navigation system and each planet houses a unique set of enemies and terrains to explore.

Gingerninja plays Warframe, a quick look at the open world map " Plains of Eidolon":

The last huge update for warframe happend on the 12th of October 2017 where the open world map "Plains of Eidolon" was introduced to the community.

Tenno are free to explore the plains and follow quests that will occur as you travel through the map.

So if the above mechanics of the game has you interested , then the above video I recorded in the Plains of Eidolon exploring the first part of the plains and hacking away at some of the enemies.

Clans and teamwork:

What pushes this game to become even more enjoyable is the fact that you can squad up with users via the auto matchmaking system when you are looking for some help on a mission or even add some known friends to join.

Then there is also the chance for users to join clans if they prefer not to wander alone. Each clan has the ability to create a huge DOJO where eapons not available via normal weapons can be researched and purchased.

And there we go! That was a quick overview of the Warframe game and the mechanics driving it forward. The team behind this game constantly releases new content and fixes to satisfy the community looking for new experiences.

Curretley I have round 120 Hours of gameplay into this game, and there is so much to explore! I hope this interests the inner gamer in you to give it a try =)
