Bad Type of Gamers That Ruins the Game
"Lambert, Lambert. What a prick."
-Geralt (The Witcher 3)
Sometimes when we play online games, other thing that we get besides the fun is annoyance. Mostly because we play along with strangers that we know are people who 'broke' the game. Usually the solution to this is by playing with your squad, but it was the other way around for me. I had that problem often because I play with my friends, but not always. Here is the type of video game players I've seen in online games that are ruining the games.
The Arrogant
Mostly the arrogant players that I met in League of Legends ware really loved to talk about how expensive their skin is, which were off topic. Because nobody even mention his/her skin in the first place, sure we were arguing about something but that was never about the skin. And yet they still say something like "B*tch can you afford this Omega Squad Teemo skin?! The answer is, without doubt, NO! Because you're f*cking poor! You shouldn't be here! Now go play hentai games instead!" Sounds pretty nasty, right?
If you think that's bad, how about this one "... Because your mom is f*cking poor!" I actually had that one, and I was laughing in the middle of my anger and annoyance. It was a confusing feeling, really. I laughed because doesn't it mean he got the money by begging on his mother? And then being so proud about it as if it was bought with his own hard earned money..
...Wow. Just.. Wow.
The Troll
Besides being annoyed, sometimes I actually feel sorry for this type of 'gamer' that get me thinking.. Despite other and better things they could do in the game or with their lives, is that how miserable their life is that they are willing to try really hard to ruin a game by doing annoying dumbsh*t in some incomprehensible manner in order to ruin people's fun gaming time or their own amusement? Oh, man, it must be so great to be them.
But in some occassions, when he/she decided to do something really stupid that cause everyone rage quit, clearly losing in an argument and brought embarrassment to him/her and got no way out of the bad situation they usually surrender by saying sh*t like "Oh come on you guys I was just joking", "lmao I was trolling!" or the usual, dry "TRIGGERED" and "lol baited". They think that would work to avoid further embarrassment and throw it back to whoever got mad, while the truth is nobody care on that "baited lol" "trigger" bs when you're already exposed as a fake troller, which seems to be worse than real troller.
The Cheater
We all know this type of player. What I don't know is whether these cheater are really enjoying to play the game that way. One of my classmate is the perfect example for this gamer type. I tried that myself in his CS:GO, and I personally don't like it (using cheat) because there were no enjoyment at all. Instead of taking his time to learn the game and play properly like a real pro, which is how we enjoy video games, he chose a 'shortcut' by using some script kiddie-made program that provide the superplayer abilities that he enjoyed so much for a couple of days that he completely ingored his friends and beloved ones warning about what will happen when you are cheating in game and then bam!
What? Did he made it to Global Elite? No, better. He made it to perma-banned. The end.
The L-a-gge-rr-r
That player who died so many times and say "Sorry it was lag" but you don't know if it really was because of lag or he was lying to cover his inability to position himself properly on the field. Sure I had that situation too, where the internet connection being a jerk at the right moment, so I can't really say sh*t about the players who had this issue. But there was this time when I can, just keep reading you'll understand.
There was a time when I played League of Legends so often with my classmates, and there was this one guy who always had his ping went from 80 to over 9000 almost everytime we were playing and he got really upset. Me and my teammates didn't mad with him because 1.) For the simple fact he was our friend, 2.) I was, or so he said, the ISP's fault for being slow af.
So I checked his PC because I thought there might be a virus or something, but no, the problem was actually on the person himself. He played the game while 3 IDMs running on the background downloading Avatar: Legend of Korra with several Chrome tabs still running too. So why I said the problem was the guy himself?! Because he knew that ISP wasn't really good!! AND YET HE STIL-- .... You have been disconnected. Attempting to reconnect.
The My-build-is-better-and-you-SHOULD-follow-it!
The title says it all. This kind of person tells you about his character's build in some game, listen to your explaination of your character's build which was fine but differ from his', and then his mouth suddenly turns into a minigun that shoots rapid 2000 insults per minute on you for being different. This is by far the weirdest and the most confusing one of all the video game player types I have ever seen, and was one of the most "wtf moment" I ever have. Don't try to understand it because we are not ready for such thing yet. Sure, I accept tips and tricks from anyone who play better than me, but that doesn't mean I will blindly follow them.
It was when me and my classmates talking about our last League of Legends match and we laughed together talking about how silly and fun we play the other day, until it was ruined by this person (my other classmate). He listen to me talking about Kassadin, and then shortly after, suddenly he shut everyone up and start telling me Kassadin build that he thought was the most perfect, and I have to obey whatever he was telling me or he didn't want to play with me anymore. Oh yeas, please, do me a favor.
The Silent Newbie
You meet this player online, begin to notice that he/she is new to the game, you give some tips on how to play better, and they don't listen to anything that you said and just keep doing the same thing throughout the match, which resulted in losing. This is the type of newbie who don't give two sh*t about your advice on how to be better in the game, they probably don't event care whether you are exist.
Imagine if they response to your chat nicely, they might probably end up as your friend, right? Wouldn't it be a good thing? But no, being silent and ignore other player completely is how they think what is better for anyone. So there is no use to try to communicate with these people because in the end you will most likely find yourself talking to yourself.
The Mad Newbie
This one is the opposite of the Silent Newbie, but still give you the same annoyance, or even more. So, you meet this player online, begin to notice that he/she is new to the game, you give some tips on how to play better, and they do listen to anything that you said only to be mad about it and just keep doing the same thing throughout the match, which resulted in losing. It probably won't be much of a trouble if they just refuse the given advice nicely, and/or discuss it to compare it with their playstyle so they can learn and be a better player.
There was the time when I play League of Legends with this kind of player, but actually I didn't met her online. I knew her in person, in fact we met so often. This girl wasn't really into video game, but she started to be interested to play when she watched me play LoL. So I teach her the basic of the game, played in Player vs AI mode for a couple of times, and then I saw her inner beast when we play together in PvP for the first time. She was really different when she was rage quit and all, she might as well burst into flame if I continued to talk. After that she mad at me for a couple of days because I tried to tell her nicely how to play, just like she asked in the first place.
This girl I'm talking about is actually my ex girlfriend. And no, I'm not sad if that's what you think.
"This guy talk like he was never done all these things himself while the truth is he did at least one of these all the time!" If that's what you want to believe about me then go ahead, I won't bother convincing you to trust me because I can't prove if I didn't anyway.

Oh, I could add the mad pro that tells you that you have to get out because you are a newbie and he will lose because of you. Or the friendly pro gamer, that tries to help you but he does not see that you are a little bit confused with the controls, reading what he says and answering, and then you lose and he gets mad. I found these two gamers in Dota 2 and Starcraft II, games I've tried and failed to master, and that made me drop them for weeks.
Btw, don't get so annoyed with the silent newbies maybe they don't understand your language or they don't know how to answer (or maybe they are just rude people that deserve hate). GG
I met the silent newbies many times until I stopped telling them little tips and just let them be. But then when that happen, the problem is changed from the silent newbie to my angry teammate (my classmates).
And the mad pro, I.. Seen them too, I guess. Those guys I met wasn't really a "pro", they just better than me but still not a pro. Thankfully there are still people like the friendly pro who don't insult you and bring up your mother when you do a little mistake. GG!
