Starting Anew

We're starting fresh.

Protospiel didn't stop us, but it definitely killed the momentum. We were running on so much pent up energy, blinded by the light, for such a long time, that critical details were allowed to slip through the cracks. No one caught the mistakes that had become baked in to the design after months of work and countless iterations.

We failed collectively. That being said, when the ship goes down, the Captain gets the blame. So that's on me. Everyone has a right to be disappointed. But everyone knew the risk as well. There were never any guarantees. In business and in life, there never have been, and never will be. Of course it would be easy to lament all the mistakes that were made up to this point, but regret is poison, and this is business. Dwelling on past mistakes is a great way to get left behind and find yourself forgotten.

The show will go on, the effort will continue, and those who've been involved thus far will have to find their own way and forge their own path until this ship can sail once more. When that time comes, those same people will be welcome to come aboard once again, if they so desire. But until then, I have work to do.
