Recoil AR

in #gaming7 years ago

As I was browsing the internet, as I do on a daily basis, I came across something interesting that looked like a Nerf gun. The styling of the gun looked pretty nice and there was another device in the same picture that wasn’t a gun. As I further looked into it, it turned out to be something up and coming that sounds like what all us adult kids have been waiting for.

It’s called Recoil, the white device in the above picture is a Recoil Wi-Fi Game Hub. It creates the gaming area of 250ft, creating the respawn points, objective points and reload stations. This is the beacon of the battlefield allowing any area to become the playfield. It allows up to 16 players on a single battlefield. There is currently 2 different game modes available, search and destroy or team deathmatch.

The guns
Of course all we want to see is how the guns look and they do not disappoint even though there is only 2 at the moment. The first is a pistol, the RK-45 Spitfire. Both guns include a calibrated self-luminous sight, audio chat button and the quick reload button. Both guns also have haptic feedback to give a bit of recoil on each shot fired. Standard game pistol that packs a punch. Dual wielding is inevitable if you can afford it.

The other gun is a rifle, the SR-12 Rogue Rifle. It has the same features of the pistol so unfortunately, neither of them have unique features but sure we’ll see some guns that do in the future if it picks up. There is also a frag grenade that you can use in the battleground.

There’s an app that allows you to track your health, ammo and any nearby points of interest (objectives, reload stations, etc.). You can also use it to bring in air support such as airstrikes. You can plug earphones into your phone while on the app allowing you to hear what’s going on around you, the sounds include shots, explosions and other noises you’d hear on a battlefield. It also allows you to plan your strategies with your teammates.

If you're thinking about buying this, it'll be a costly buy. The starter set that includes 2 pistols and the game hub will cost you $129.99. You can buy additional guns individually, a pistol will cost $49.99 and a rifle is $79.99. It is a very costly buy but I think it'll be a completely different experience compared to paintball or airsoft.

What do you think of this? Could this be the next big thing?
