New video game by Neil de Grasse Tyson!!

I saw a kickstarter for a cool new game by astrophysicist Neil de Grasse Tyson. Space Odyssey. It will be real science based missions to explore space, colonize planets, create and mod in real time.

Space Odyssey will be single player, online or online gameplay and it will be available on Mac and Windows.

• Accurate Gameplay - You can build and explore planetary systems using real laws of physics, biology and chemistry.
• In-Game Futurism - Concepts of Nanotechnology, Optogenetics, Singularity, Magnetic Transportation, Dark Matter, Compressed Time, Hydrogen Power, Solar Sails, Ramjet Fusion and more will be present throughout game-play.

  • Once you start the planetary creation process, there is no going back; you are responsible for the planet you create.
  • On your home planet, you'll cultivate flora and fauna to gain an understanding of how life adapts and what species require to thrive and survive. From there, you'll create biomes and landscapes for your lifeforms and habitants.
