According to the PlayStation Universe, Mark Cerny who works for Sony and is involved in the PlayStation 4 development has spoken to Digital Foundry about the possible release of the PlayStation 5. He says that the PlayStation 5 is likely to be released in 2019, but that is only the "fastest" possibility.
