Confirmed: Assassin's Creed and Watch Dogs Shared Universe

I've connected all the dots, and pieced together the puzzle that is the Ubisoft shared universe.

Olivier Garneau, CFO of Abstergo Entertainment, (first appearing in Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag) is at the centre of it all. It seems that the Brotherhood of Assassins put out a hit on him through DedSec, the hacker collective responsible for the events of Watch_Dogs.

In Assassin's Creed Origins, Layla Hassan appears to have proof that Olivier was murdered, but can the CRT footage be trusted? Could DedSec have manipulated the images?

There are still many questions left unanswered, but one thing that is for sure, is that these events are all occuring within the same universe.

Could Dedsec actually be a sect of the Brotherhood? Or was Aiden Pierce just a means to an end?
