The release debut of Switch Version from Super Meat Boy almost matches its original release.
Platformer games certainly became one of the main genres for video games under the 90s. Now that the majority of video games have been able to move in 3 dimensions with more complex control, does it then make platformer games simply abandoned? It does not seem, because the indie developers are still able to develop this genre to keep the attention of gamers. One way? Limit the movement of existing characters with more extreme and deadly challenges. That's certainly applied by Edmund McMillen when making Super Meat Boy.
Released in 2010, Super Meat Boy soon became hits due to its super hard game level. This game itself ultimately defines itself as a game with the genre Hardcore Platformer. And not excessive because you will be faced with 300 full level of difficult challenges to be solved. This game also gain great success in sales at that time. Then how when the game was re-released to the Switch console that is being a favorite of gamers out there 7 years after its inaugural release?

Through the official Twitter account SuperMeatBoy the developer showed his surprise that it turns out the first day sales of the game Super Meat Boy on the Switch console almost equal to debut initially in Xbox 360 2010 ago. The Switch version itself offers a new feature of Race Mode which is a multiplayer split-screen mode where you can play against your friends to complete one level, random, or one full game.
The positive response from this gamer certainly makes the developer Team Meat calmer for the future to welcome the release of the sequel to this game which will be titled Super Meat Boy Forever. This game sequel itself is planned to be released this year for PC, Xbox One, Playstation 4, and of course Nintendo Switch. Interested to play this tough game again?
