The next "Killer World of Warcraft" - how many more do we have to meet them in our lifetime?
In the last issue, you learned about the "World of Warcraft Killer" - called Rift Online and its uneasy and somewhat sad fate. And today I will tell you, as I promised about another "murderer".

The company Funcom known earlier to us unless, that the game series Dreamfall. In the distant "bearded" in 2008, she released "Age of Conan" - and this was a real breakthrough in a graphic and innovative way. Even now, it compares favorably with other games released even this year. And the number of innovations just went off scale at the start of the game.

The game is a real interactive movie with a lot of clips on the engine and other inserts. Dynamic and interesting fights. The opportunity to ride on your mount. Even the characters there were not disembodied dummies through which it was possible to pass, but the real ones. And if such a "dummy" was standing at the entrance it could only be pushed out. But the game only killed three things.

Firstly, this lack of optimization and games in the first time, even the game on rather powerful PC managed to slow down.

Secondly, this is an age limit of 18+ (since there are many nude scenes in the game), and in the Demonologist class, there was generally a topless servant in thongs.

The third thing that ruined the game is the same "innovative" as Funcom considered the combat system. All the "mile" classes in the game had the ability to strike a left or right, and also put a block, which made the battle not very convenient, and at the same time the "rdd" classes could ignore this mechanics and they were played as in the good old "target" game.

And as the deplorable example of "Age of Conan" showed, if the game consists entirely of innovations, this is also bad. All this led to the fact that in 2011 the year the game moved to F2P. And then the closure of most of the servers, including Russian-speaking servers. Although the choice of language in the game has survived now, and you can always play in Russian or any other language that supports the game. In the game there is still a vast and friendly Russian-speaking community.

I went through the whole story company in this game, and it seemed to me damn interesting. Even now, after years, I already want to return there with friends and on a more powerful PC. And again plunge into this interesting and at the same time ominous world. Perhaps, as soon as I get tired of Legion, I'll do it.
