The Evil Within 2 Game Review by Alexendre Maxim Welcome To My Channel
Hey Stemians
It's hard to play The Evil Within 2 without thinking about Resident Evil, not only is Kinji Mikami the one behind both games, but even with some similar elements between the two games, with the difference of story and style of play as a whole, The Evil Within 2 The horror and survival we expected?
The story
The story takes place three years after the Beacon Mental Disorder, where Sebastian's character has left the police force as a result of his previous experience, which no one has believed and made him suffer nightmares and extraordinary things. On the move to the World Union, on a mission to save his daughter Lily, strange things will happen, the nightmares will make you confuse reality and fantasy. The story makes you somewhat suspicious of everything that happens around you. Although the dialogues and sequence of events are not completely balanced, The Evil Within 2 keeps the elements of horror and survival that made the first part great.
Play style
Like its predecessor, The Evil Within 2 is a game of horror and survival, that is, it offers elements that help you progress in the game but they remain limited elements and you must use them with great intelligence and caution. The first thing you will notice is three levels of difficulty, Casual, a level that offers the experience of horror but gives the new players the opportunity to enjoy the game without much of the tension, and Survival, which may be preferred by players who enjoyed the experience of the first part, focusing on the experience of survival and intelligent use of resources available to you, Followed by Nightmare, which is only recommended for experienced players in horror and survival games. The way you play is not very different from the first part, but the maps and the environment around you are larger, giving you different opportunities to complete levels and tasks, interacting with the environment is easier with The Communicator, a tool that allows you to find the resources and tools that may help you in your task, Place your enemies, I think they facilitate somewhat of the process of progress in the game, unlike other horror games and survival like Resident Evil that drives you to explore everywhere to find those resources. The Communicator is also important for those who want to dig deeper into the story. They provide information from time to time about what is going on around you. It is good to combine all of these features into one tool. I'm not really a fan of videos / So make it easy with one tool that saves a lot of time to focus on the game as a whole. You can attack enemies using pistols or other weapons available, but you may really want to adopt the technique of infiltration here more because there are not many weapons or ammunition, and thanks to the method of smooth play, you can use the corners and walls to hide behind and surprise your enemy, and like other survival games and horror, Make tools by integrating different resources, not to mention having a Sebastian personalization system based on Stealth, Health, Recovery, Combat, and Athleticism. You can customize each one individually to make your personality better and stronger.
Is it worth buying, renting or waiting for a price reduction?
Compared to the first part, I think The Evil Within 2 has fixed a lot of things and improved others, so you'll find a lot of good things here for what you pay, but on the other hand it does not provide a pure horror experience or at least the level of other games, so It may not be ideal for those who want to live a game experience you pay to explore different places without the need for a map showing the resources or the tasks you need to complete.Thank you for your watching !
