Puck, ever since it’s release, has seen many successes throughout the patches. With it’s heavy magic damage and high survivability, we have seen puck in almost all lanes except for the safe lane, and the hero itself has never seen it’s days of misery in the pro scenes. However, with the recent patches, the hero has been really pushed off to the side.

The current meta requires heroes that have really good teamfight and pick off ability, with puck, you really don’t get much of that. Apart from it’s Warning Rift and Dream Coil, the other 2 skills aren’t much of use when fights come. With the other heroes like beast master and Warlock being much more reliable heroes to count on on fights, it’s no wonder that Puck got shifted out of the Meta.

Puck’s early game isn’t the strongest either, with the rise of heroes such as Invoker, Shadowfiend, and even PL, Puck really doesn’t stand a chance against them in the laning stage with it’s week spells. Overall, Puck just isn’t a good hero to play in the competitive scene anymore, is it still a viable hero to play for fun? Of course, but maybe not in competitive play.
