Edutainment Reminiscence
While browsing Youtube, I ran across this gameplay video of The Learning Company's classic Super Solvers OutNumbered. Nostalgia overload! The PC audio music and sound. That accursed Telly and LiveWire. Those cheesy puzzles. I still have fond memories.
This may have been the first game I had, but the original Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego may have that honor, too. After some cough decades, I'm not sure. I think I still have the floppy diskette around here somewhere. Now you can play the game online via the Internet Archive's browser-based emulator, though.
What educational software do you remember from your school days? This, WITWICS, and a version of The Oregon Trail on an Apple II were major influences on me back before I discovered real-time strategy games.
Halloween costume idea: red high-tops, bermuda shorts, a blue puffy jacket, and a red ball cap plus a 3d-printed shell for my smartphone. No one will get it, though.
