3.61+ games will also start hacking PS Vita soon

The big stumbling block in front of the PS Vita scene is, for now, the upgrading of games requiring a firmware larger than 3.60, where the exploit was discovered in the console. According to the famous TheFlow hacker, however, getting these same games is just a matter of time.

In a series of Twitter posts, TheFlow revealed that he worked for eight hours a day in the past two weeks, as his university was on vacation. He confirmed that he would be able to take the permanent hacker Enso for firmware 3.65, but the current 3.60 remains the door to him.

In practice, this means that if you have a 3.60 firmware console, you'll be able to drive newer games like Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony, Darkest Dungeon, Slain, and more. So the situation resembles that of the PS3 years ago, when after a prolonged period of stagnation, finally there was a way to set up games with a higher firmware, although 3.55 would remain a hacking requirement on the console.

Still, the flow has good news for those who do not have such a console. He is sure he has found an exploit at 3.67 and will release it publicly. The problem is that you will have to wait a lot - the hacker fixes the end of the year as a deadline for that.

Announcements came just a year after TheFlow found an extra exploit for unpacking unofficial code in the portable console.
