Today We will play: Dawn of War 2 Retribution ...
Good morning my followers welcome to a new post of "Virtual Kitchen 2.0" from this moment will come new changes on the page, new styles of vignettes, better photos, videos and gameplays made by members of the page, since it will not work alone but that is later.
Today we will talk about another game in the saga "Dawn of War II" which is the Retribution, but first our usual Wikipedia review:
Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II - Retribution is the second independent expansion for the Warhammer 40,000 videogame: Dawn of War II, and is part of the Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War series of real-time strategy games. Set in the fictional universe of Games Workshop's Warhammer 40,000, the single-player campaign can be played with multiple races.
The Imperial Guard is presented as a new race, and all factions, including those of the original game and the first expansion (the Eldar, the Space Marines, the Chaos, the Orks and the Tyranids) can be played in a single player.

After having played the Dawn of War II and its respective expansion, checking online I found another saga that curiously was not an expansion but a complete game, I decided to acquire it and play it to see how the life of the protagonists of the previous saga was going.
When I started playing it, my first surprise was that the campaign did not come only with the Blood Ravens (The Spaces Marines, worth the redundancy) but brought several heroes, one of each race.
The style of missions was changed on the map, before you could see the entire planet, now it is only a star map with sequential missions on each planet, it should be noted that in none of the campaigns you will be on the spacecraft and will use portals to go to Another planets.
The skills of the heroes were modified, now you only invest points to uncover techniques when leveling and only give you one point, reaching a maximum of 10 levels; so you'll have to be very wise to distribute the points and have the hero have the necessary skills to progress in the missions. The part of the equipment is still the same and it varies depending on the race, which caught my attention.
The information for the missions is the same as in the previous version and we no longer have the communication towers that gave us more information on the planet, especially now you must choose your reward among three awards to achieve the mission, a team, an improvement for your soldiers or a new style of unit for your infantry.
In the combat if there were changes, now the heroes have no soldiers accompanying them, you must buy them throughout the mission to help you and you must gather requisitions and energy to buy them, you will also be limited by the space of units in the map so that you can build a big army.
Apart from the requisitions and energies that you will get in the boxes you can activate some generators that will give a lot of material above all they will be able to increase a little the number of available units in the map, strategically it is your priority.
At the end of the mission will come a summary of the experience won by your heroes in the field and the spoils of war you won, BUT WAIT! do not think you will win many awards as in the previous version, in this they became stingy hahahaha.
Unlike the previous game you will only have 4 heroes, being the maximum of heroes on the map; but you can remove heroes (except the main one) to replace them with elite units and giving you more space to create more units.
I clarify the only difference with this game to the previous Dawn of War II was the inclusion of more heroes, they were also included in the Multiplayer, Skirmish or Final Battle.
I could not do the tests for not having the internet, but investigate and is the same as the previous one in the combat aspects.
Pro:
The graphic level is still the same, also the sound, I liked the multiple campaigns and how they broke down the skills to each one making them unique.
Cons:
The campaign despite being with multiple races is the same, you face the same races and the same final boss. The only different are the dialogues with respect to the events.
Conclusion:
I will not deny that I expected more from the campaign regarding the multiple races, that it was extensive and original; but my logic says that they took the game like that to please the fans. My personal opinion play it because the plots of the races, despite being short, are good and at the strategy level the game is still strong.
Thank you very much everyone for your support in this new phase of the 2.0 project, many new things are to come, not suddenly clear, everything is little by little, but I promise you that you will like it and we will have a lot of interaction with you too.
