Today we will take a walk through the history of Kratos (God of War)
Hello steemians friends today I come to tell you about this wonderful game that maybe you have already played but anyway today I come to give you a review on the history of god of war.

Until he ran into Alrik, a barbarian king who, with his army, put the Spartan force in check and cornered Kratos; At the point of death, the protagonist of the saga demanded the help of the god of war and made a pact with Ares, promising his soul in exchange for victory on the battlefield. Ares gave him the mythical swords of Chaos, which were tied to his arms, and turned the tables on the battle. From that moment, Kratos would follow the commands of the god of war blinded by his promise and, tricked by Ares, massacred thousands of innocents, among whom were Lysandra and Calliope, his wife and daughter. Horrified by the facts and by his thirst for blood, Kratos would give up serving Ares and give rise to the beginning of the story that we all know today.
Why does Kratos have that peculiar look?
His brother, Deimos, also seemed to hold great potential as a soldier but due to his strange birthmarks Ares captured him following a prophecy that stated that a "marked warrior" would end Olympus. When opposing, Kratos received a cut in the eye that ended up leaving the scar that accompanies him today and, in honor of his missing brother, he would tattoo his body with the iconic red marks.
On the other hand, its characteristic whitish complexion also has a tragic motive: after the murder of his wife and daughter, an oracle of the devastated village condemned him to carry the ashes of these adhered to his skin forever as a reminder of the barbarism committed. This would earn the unfortunate nickname of "Ghost of Sparta."
What happened in video games?
Thus, in the original God of War that started all on PlayStation 2 back in 2005. We see a Kratos bored and the limit after a long time in the service of gods to which he repudiates that Athena, his main link with the Olympus, entrusted the mission to end an Ares increasingly problematic and dangerous to the interests of the gods themselves. After getting and releasing the power of the Pandora's Box, Kratos would face him and kill him, fulfilling his promise.
However, the Sparta Ghost could not forget what happened in the past and, after attempting to commit suicide, His sequel, God of War II, presented us with a haughty and cruel Kratos that the rest of Olympus held in very low esteem. So much so that, after being summoned by a Spartan warrior and coming to the aid of his army in the battle of Rhodes, he would end up being betrayed by Zeus, who would steal his powers and nail the Sword of Olympus, sending him straight to the Underworld. Already there, rescued by Gaia, a titan (exiled with other titans after the Great War) with the intention of killing Zeus, Kratos part in search of the Sisters of Destiny to travel again to the moment where he was betrayed.
And so it came to the epic conclusion, God of War III. Starting where the previous delivery left him, Kratos would soon take down Poseidon but, unfortunately, he would be abandoned by Gaia and his entourage after a first and failed encounter with Zeus. Back in the Underworld, and betrayed by the gods and titans, Kratos was helped by the spirit of Athena to find the flame of Olympus, key to defeat the god of gods. After going through the blade to gods and titans without a doubt, Kratos would find Pandora's box again to discover that she, a girl who reminded her of her daughter, should sacrifice herself to unleash the power of the box. Kratos would end up accessing it to verify that the box was empty and suffer the jeers of Zeus. Iracundo would fight with his father and, after Gaia's intervention, he would finish with the titan and with him. At least that seemed; Zeus would return in the form of spirit to reduce it and Kratos, trapped in his thoughts and pushed by his wife Lysandra, would make use of that power of hope that Pandora spoke to him (taken by opening the box in the first video game but buried by his longing of blood and revenge) to take down Zeus in a memorable action scene. Athena would then appear to claim Kratos the return of the powers to the box but, selfish again, Kratos would refuse and nail the Sword of Olympus in the belly (hence his spectacular scar in this new installment), spreading his power by the rest of the world while waiting for the arrival of his death. Or not, since after the credits we would see a blood trail from the sword to a cliff, without knowing his whereabouts.
