Game Review - [NASCAR Rumble - PSX]
NASCAR Rumble is a racing video game created by Electronic Arts that was released for the PlayStation platform in the year 2000.
As a racing game, obviously the main objetive is to win every race possible. But this particular game also added the capability to use power-ups to spicy things up a little.
So, you can experience the feeling of adrenaline and velocity that comes with a traditional nascar game, and at the same time you can experience the craziness of wreaking havoc to your opponents using your best power-ups.
The game features a series of regions, each one with 3 different tracks in which you have to win to advance to the next region.
It also offer several race modes with different conditions in which you can test your skills.
You can even customize the race options, choosing the number of cars, laps, team composition , or if you want you opponents selected at random or do it yourself.
The use of power-ups is completely optional, you can deactivate them if you want to race in a traditional style, or increase the number of power-ups to the max, where the power-ups appears practically at every corner, turning the race into a mayhem.
Usually, you will have to choose between several regular nascar racing cars to compete, but is also possible to choose some special cars and tracks if you unlock them while progressing in the game.
The cars could be upgraded to different levels, starting from rookie, evolving to pro, and finally becoming an elite. The better the level the better the performance of the car in the race.
Personally, i think this is one of the best racing games i ever had the pleasure to play, and not only me, but several of my friends also owned a copy of this game. We played it a lot and it was one of our regular games to start competitions.
Sometimes we even argued because of this game when there was a sore loser, but at the end of the day we settled our differences with the promise of a rematch, like a lot of kids tend to do haha.
