Nice explanation. It's true... Gambling can be fun, and that's really the only reason to do it for most people in most situations. Finding to opportunities to gamble profitably is possible, but not at games with a fixed house edge. Poker is a good example of a game which is possible to play profitably, but the learning curve is steep these days.

Bottom line: gamble for fun, if you enjoy it. Don't expect to win, and only gamble what you can afford to lose. Consider it an entertainment expense, like going to the movies or getting drunk.
