Competition in the burger market spurs McDonald's? The chain began placing digital ordering stations with 32-inch touch screens, which can be ordered and paid by credit card and in the future: in cash.

The goal: Just like in a train, or at airports or at self-service supermarkets - to allow the customer a quick order and an independent payment without waiting at the box office, to encourage purchases and increase the volume of purchases. However, in cases of congestion at the branches, queues can also be created in front of the posts. Another goal is to make it easier for the cashiers, although in the first stage, some cashiers may be standing next to the outposts. In addition, there may be a load in the delivery area, since the portions will still be delivered to customers by the employees of the fund.

Sort:

Most people haven't seen this coming from a long way off.
Automation is increasingly replacing humans anywhere, in any thing, where the cost to develop & maintain a 24/7 machine becomes cheaper than retaining employees.

New directive: Time to up-skill and become a machine herder, tend their needs, keep them productive.
