Welcome changes
If a change for you feels like a threat, you will never move forward. The world will not stop changing. Recently I have lost someone who has been very dear to me. I have spent hours and days mourning, grieving and crying. I was not able to do anything. Life stopped for me.
Big changes like losing someone you love, getting fired from a company you have committed your life to, moving out because you have to may paralyse you. The fact is, life goes on. One of the principles of evolution says that the most adaptable species will survive the change (not the strongest ones nor the most intelligent). Well, I had to adapt. The reality has changed and since that person isn't by my side anymore but that doesn't mean I should bury myself too.
Well, back to the business world...As I look across regions and think of future markets and global economy, I must admit that Asia seems the most prepared to welcome the change (Asian countries are way ahead than Europe whether we like it or not).
The best strategy is to observe the surrounding and plan for yourself. How often we operate on auto-pilot, aren't really patient and end up making really stupid decisions? It happens all the time! We have to learn to relax in stressful situations otherwise all the blood that runs through your brain and supports your thinking will go to your stomach, legs and arms (fight and flight mode).
Try to welcome changes, greet them with at least neutral attitude and see what's going to happen, just don't run away. Along with changes, we have to adapt, learn new skills, find new ways of thinking and come up with innovative solutions. We have to keep the blood running through our brains, not stomach.
