The Far Future of Crypto-currencies
Have you ever asked yourself where do you think a coin will be in a year or two? Most of us have thought that, or do think that on a frequent basis. But what about beyond? What tools can be created for humanity utilizing blockchain tech?
The future I will discuss is a positive one, one we will not likely see within our lifetime but can help plant the seeds for it.
Imagine- it's the year 2200+ Past advancements in AI have pushed our intelligence and comprehension skills to all new highs.
Organic computer implants, quantum communications, 3D printed food with desired taste and nutrients, virtual communities and shopping centers. Sound far-fetched? No, it probably doesn't. Not anymore in this day in age.
In our lifetimes we may see the start of neural networking in humans. With that small step we could see the defining moment in human history. To keep our humanity and live and die, or upload everything our brain remembers- every neural pathway- enhanced and amplified. Can you see yourself giving up your physical form to obtain a life inside of a computer?
But not just any computer...
The Human blockchain.
Everyone connected in one fluid flow of information, maintaining life as we would know it.
What about the children? Mine them. Deep learning advancements by then could allow for the seamless intergration of it's perents hash, thus passing on a Geneblock.
Think of the implications of every person (although person doesn't quite describe us anymore, perhaps virtual-person, Verson? Veople?) containing the blocks of information that creates everyone. Would we evolve past the needs of currencies?
Or would we thrive in an all new world where, currencies, life choices, and general state of being excel in every regard? Would we set our sites solely on the stars and propagate through the milky way obtaining scientifically valuable minerals, to create even more technologies we couldn't even comprehend in our current state of mind?
I would like to think that our civilization (earth/every human) has a destiny far greater than we could think of. An undying conglomerate of symbiotic individuals who are able to form a consensus near instantly. Almost like the robotic race of Geth from the game Mass Effect.
Lets take a few steps backwards before we get ahead of ourselves.
Where are blockchain technologies going while we are still alive and not day dreaming about the future of the future?
Robots operated by blockchain tech? Fetching a ride in an automated car using crypto? or how about a literal ticket to the moon from earnings? Food specific currencies, travel currencies, 21st century arcade tokens/fun monies? I see a lot of good coins out there, and I see a lot of stupid ones that offer nothing new.
I was 18 when I got my first Bitcoins, naive to there true value buying dumb things. Sadly I did not know about cold storage back then, and kept them on a not-so-fancy 40gb IDE hardrive old even at that time.. Needless to say, it did not withstand the general abusive it took being out of a computer tower over the years. I am 25 now, with some small investments here and there.
The moral of this rambling would be to keep adding useful coins to your wallet, and keep on holding. We are the early adopters. We have the potential to make ourselves, and our next of kin well off when the brave new world of technology kicks into hyperdrive.
As long as we as a whole keep advancing technology and pushing the limits, there will be no limits to how far crypto can go.
