🫣 Will humanity really become extinct?

in #future13 hours ago (edited)

The new Trump era begins, world geopolitics changes, and many of the most implausible forecasts that were envisioned for the world have already partly come true. 🇺🇸👨🏼‍💼✨

The facts have shown us, without a doubt, that reality always surpasses fiction, and we are witnesses that no event, no matter how drastic it may seem, is absolute or permanent.

Now, many apocalyptic events have passed, in 2019 the infamous and dubious COVID-19 pandemic, more than two years ago, Russia's war of invasion of Ukraine, snoring at the gates of Europe, more than a year ago the Hamas terrorist attack on Israel, which has given rise to the war in Gaza, Lebanon and the threat from Iran, In addition to the untimely fall of the regime in Syria, also during this time the appearance of a new milestone in the history of the technological development of humanity, such as Artificial Intelligence applied and accessible to the public, the impressive development of space technology with rockets. re-usable from companies like SpaceX, among others, the appearance of the hardware of the first quantum computers with the Google chip named Willow, etc.

But, beyond the fact that some of the present wars are the thread through which a nuclear war is unraveled and begins, or that artificial intelligence gets out of control putting humanity in suspense, what can we really predict about the future?

Until now, today, at the beginning of the year 2025, the world continues its course, and apparently with some political, cultural and social corrections that were in decline and even sponsored by the most "respectable" international organizations.

Not in vain, the collective conscience, it seems, has naturally corrected the mistake, and it is not that I say this as a complete optimist, no, it is that by nature, by survival instinct, the human being turns to hope as his last resort, when there are no longer equitable solutions in this regard.

But, for many thinkers, we are at the gates of the "Great Filter", that famous hypothesis that suggests the collapse of civilization before reaching a higher technological level that allows us to overcome the limits of our own world.

Given that, for a change as a species, we are at a deadly crossroads, the flow of events will continue to re-educate us, if we did not learn from the past, we will repeat the task but with new schemes, and if before we did not control many things, now Ironically, with more technology, much less.

Let us imagine then, how old failed ideological schemes will disappear and the same old natural values will prevail, allowing the triumph of civilized man towards new inscrutable frontiers, with the combination and increasingly common use, within the spaces of life, of AI's,
and the scientific discoveries that appear exponentially implemented thanks to them:

🔸Medical milestones that will improve the quality of life and lengthen it.

🔸Transportation is possibly teleportation in many cases.

🔸The existence of matter replicators, which will be like the grandchildren of what 3D printers are today.

🔸Nuclear fission, as an inexhaustible source of energy.

🔸Transhumanization, with a new way of life that we cannot even define yet.

The big question that I ultimately ask myself is not whether this will be this extraordinary or fantastic, no, the question is: how long will this happen?, years, decades,...? 🤔

Who can know? Divinity, God?

I appreciate your attention up to this point!
Until today, as humans, we have conquered.
Again, thanks for reading.
