SAN FRANCISCO- LinkedIn software engineers, Todd McDouglass and Mary Reimers, worked together on new software, and unexpectedly started to develop feelings for each other. Neither wanted to lose their positions in the company, so they decided to create an app instead.

"I've seen so many people come and go at this company because of office relationships. It didn't matter if it worked out or not. It's great for the person who isn't in love with the company or their career track. It sucks for the person who changes their career plans.", Todd said. In a recent poll from Vault.com, "Of those who have dated a coworker, 42 percent said they had an ongoing, casual relationship; 36 percent said they had a "random office hookup;" 29 percent had been in a serious, long-term relationship; and 16 percent had met their spouse or partner at work. "

Todd and Mary hope to save thousands of promising careers on the world’s largest professional network.
