Children, and Marriage!

Today marks a milestone for my wife and I, we have been married 40 years today. Happy, and at times sad, with all the things life brings you in all those many years, but satisfying all the same. We have produced two children in these many years, both boys, who for the most part have been a joy, and then there were times not so joyful.

This shirt is a design I made today, to remind us and others of how we have different outlooks on our children from time to time. I’ve always said to both our boys, I will always love you, but there have been those times I didn’t like you!”

Neither my wife or I are big on celebrations, mainly because when you reach a certain age, each day you wake up on the right side of the ground is cause for celebrating, so after awhile, it’s just another day, and a reminder that those days left are getting fewer.

So our celebrating will be done by ourselves, and I will be making a stir-fry and a few favorite side dishes to go along, while my lovely wife will be baking us a blueberry pie! Neither of our sons will be here to help celebrate, both are far away from us, but we will more than likely getting a phone call from them, probably when we have just sat down to dinner…

Funny thing, I’d just started this new online business, which consists of print on demand products, and I had all these funny divorce quotes in my head. So when I showed my wife the original designs, which were all about divorce, she looked at me and asked, Are you try to tell me something?”

I reassured her she had nothing to worry about, after all, she has put up with me for 40 years and hasn’t killed me yet!
