The most educational movie ever.

I have a lot to say to my kids. Too much for the five second attention span this generation is famous for.
It was much simpler to sit them down and watch The Life of Brian !
Right near the start we see Jesus giving the world great wisdom on the mound and just how long it takes for the listeners to misconstrue everything he says. "Blessed are the cheesemakers !? It's not meant to be taken literally dear, he's referring to all producers of dairy products...".
Next we get a lesson about religious law. Don't say Jehovah out loud.

On to the lesson about charity "Did you say ex-lepper?", and the awesome lesson about gender confusion "I want you all to call me Loretta".

Learn a bit of Latin from Mr Cleese who actually did teach Latin "conjugate the verb 'to go'".

I really appreciated the lesson about rebellious groups "what have the Romans ever done for us??", and peoples' need to follow a leader "well I say you are the messiah, and I should know, I've followed a few..".
Finally it ends with a cute song reminding us not to take life too seriously.

When this movie was in theaters religious groups boycotted it claiming it blasphemy!
Okay, I actually do more in the raising of my children, but decades later I still find it the most enlightening and enriching movie ever, and I thank God it was made.
