French police and rubbish.

Skimming for movies on a sleepless night... I found a French cop movie, thought I'd test out my French and see if it's holding up..

A bunch of riot cops in helmets and shields bust into the back of a building looking for a kingpin... they find a little lackey taking out the trash, and when they yell hands up, he raises two trash bags in his hands.

They yell "put it down!" and he tosses the bags in bins.

Then one of the cops says "the plastics go in the black bin!"

And the kid shouts, "I recycle, I swear I recycle!"

I burst out laughing. Because that IS the police, in France... and where I lived, in Belgium. You can run a criminal organization, and maybe they'll get around to picking you up eventually.

But if you deal with your rubbish improperly, they'll crack you over the head.
