Town Rejects Baggy Pants Ban
I thought this was a joke at first, but this was apparently a real concern for someone who lives in a small town close to me. http://www.transylvaniatimes.com/story/2018/04/12/news/town-rejects-baggy-pants-ban-rosman-nc/36317.html
Ah, the priorities of concerned citizens in a small, rural town. The article is pretty amusing. An excerpt:
The town’s attorney, Don Barton, said there was no one to enforce it, and he asked what would be the metrics?
“Is it 2 inches above the crack line?” he asked. “Is it 2 inches below the crack line? We’re not going to go out with a measuring tape here. It’s not going to happen. We don’t have the means or wherewithal to go out and measure somebody’s butt crack.”
Crowe made a motion to remove the item from the agenda based on Barton’s advice, and the board unanimously agreed.
“We might lose half our plumbers,” added Barton.
