Every language has it's own sayings and wise words. Some language more that the other. In Holland for example we use a lot of sayings. It's very normal to use them in casual conversation but in business conversations as well.

Meaning: i'm starting to get to know how it works.

2. What do i have hanging on my bicycle?
In Dutch: Wat heb ik nu aan mijn fiets hangen?
Meaning: What is this i have to deal with now?

3. Let's go and wash this piggy!
In Dutch: Dat varkentje zullen we eens wassen!
Meaning: Let's get this job done!

4. I fell with my nose in the butter.
In Dutch: Ik viel met mijn neus in de boter.
Meaning: I entered something right in the middle of it.

5. Stop being such an ant fucker!
In Dutch: Wees niet zo'n mierenneuker.
Meaning: Stop making a problem of small things.

6. Finally the monkey came out of the sleeve
In Dutch: Eindelijk kwam de aap uit de mouw.
Meaning: Finally someones hidden motive for his or her actions come out.

In Dutch: Als je je billen brand, moet je op de blaren zitten
Meaning: When you do something without thinking of the consequences you have to face these consequences when they happen.

In Dutch: Achteraf is een koe in de kont kijken.
Meaning: When something has happend it's easy talk about it.

In Dutch: Ik ben met het verkeerde been uit bed gestapt.
Meaning: I'm in a mood.

10. Even when a monkey wares a golden ring, it'll still be an ugly thing.
In Dutch: Al draagt de aap een gouden ring, het is en blijft een lelijk ding.
Meaning: You can't dress up something that's not pretty to the eye. Similar English saying: "a pig in lipstick"
