"Ikpa, pass me your ATM card. I go bring am for you. my own don loss, and I no get time." I need withdraw, and I go send the money come your account sharp sharp.

This was the conversation that ensued between me and my very close friend (one out of 3 tight buddies I've got), Vwede aka DannyBoy. This was the line that ensured that I was without my ATM card for 9 days. The date was 24-01-2018, a day after my birthday and the time was 6:28pm; it was the day I held my party as my village people had decided against me doing the party on the 23rd, which was my actual birthday.

So, it started last December. We were done with our B.Sc project (University of Uyo something), and everyone was about to travel. Vwede is based in Lagos, so before leaving Uyo, I borrowed his standing fan (my room decided to have electrical fault, and the ceiling fan stopped working). The big head came back to Uyo about 2 weeks ago! I thought it'd be brief, but he's still here.

So, after waiting for some time, he decided to call me out on Facebook (I love our craziness sha).

Many thought I'd be upset, but why should I have been? Getting upset would've meant that I didn't know who I called my friend; which is a lie (Vwede is capable of more; I'm shocked he only called me out on Facebook). I had my own move to pull; he was with my ATM card!

02-02-2018. The time is 07:38am.

So, Vwede comes to my house to charge his appliances; his "Vision Road" area is without light as their transformer has become faulty (fan returned, by the way), and he says while we're gisting:

"Ikpa**, I suppose return your ATM oo! I don go do another one. I forget to bring am on my way here.

And, I'm like:

"No way, bruh! I have to call you out too. There is no way you'd go scot free!"

The dude be like,😂😂😂😂

"I know say you go do your own. I don tell Rosabel sef (a mutual friend of ours) yesterday say you go do your own too!" I go bring am when I'm coming to carry my stuff.

Immediately the dude leaves, I whip out my phone and call him out on Facebook, Twitter and WhatsApp! Sadly enough, I can't access Twitter and my WhatsApp status update has passed the 24 hour time. But I got me Facebook screenshot!

Sure enough, in the afternoon, the bruv brings a week of fun to a winding end with the return of my ATM card!

Take note, this was an official ceremony. The only thing missing were the Press!
