RE: What I Have in This Bag, None of You Have (Time to laugh with joy)
She uses everything I have and moves around them all. My last ferret did not, but Daemon uses her tower, sleeps in her hammock in her cage, sleeps in this octopus thing for ferrets, and she will sleep in any clothing, hat, and LOVES plastic grocery bags. She's been a cool one - will ride on my shoulders too. I'm amazed at how you can handle more than one fuzzie. :)
I had TEN at one point!
I very nearly opened up my own ferret rescue and rehabilitation. Then life happened and we moved from NY to Florida. I've made hammocks by crocheting thin rope and using shower curtain rings to hang in their cage. YES! Mine love plastic grocery bags, tennis balls and stuffed animals too. LOL They are so much fun. Bear, my big guy hordes all of the water bottles under the couch. That was an interesting mystery to figure out.
haha! Daemon oddly doesn't steal things, nor has a secret spot. Cosmo did, and would steal anything and everything and would open up our bottom dresser drore to stash things. :)
Daemon is still full of spunk after 4 years and often will do that happy laugh and come up to me while working to get me to play.
They are indeed so much fun. What I've wanted to do is find a ferret breeder in the US. It seems like petstore bought ferrets go through a gruesome process - tattoo'd behind the ear and such. I had wanted to do this before getting Daemon, but couldn't find one. My reason is that Cosmo died REALLY young... like only 3 years old and got prostate cancer. :( That was devastating, and I know you just lost one, so I feel for ya.
But they are indeed such awesome animals.
