I'll tag you on FB with the post about where I found them. The post is not about the mushrooms, but about my exploring the Atlanta Area.

Wonderful morels! That open well looks very dangerous for wildlife and children!

Well, it would be, only I had to climb/hike through some fairly dense underbrush along the fence
Odd tank, to find it. I grew tired of pushing through all of that, and didn't go any farther along
The fence. I wanted to get to the stream side to see exactly what, WHAT that bloody thing
Was for in the first place! The well had rungs set in the side, so someone was supposed
To be able to climb down for some reason. I remember there was an iron cover off to
The side, so it was SUPPOSED to be covered. But obviously no one goes there. I
Stopped at the 'store' across the road and asked what the thing was, they had
No idea but said that Occasionally, a city of Atlanta truck would come along
And drive down to the gate, but I couldn't see any evidence of anyone
Going through or into the facility in recent times. It is listed as a
"Superfund" cleanup site, or rather the whole area is.
There are HUGE graveyards all around there, and
Upstream is a full and closed city landfill, and
THIS STREAM FEEDS THE CITY WATER
Supply, Go Figure.
