RE: Give money for hungry kids

in #fundraising8 years ago

Not to be too harsh but I have worked in the humanitarian field for 15 years. In Afghanistan, Indonesia, Nepal, Sudan, etc. Save the Children in my experience is a wasteful and bloated organization. I would suggest you research smaller NGO's that focus on specific projects that benefit children in the long run. Community based projects not large organizations.

hey @dogmatixxx this post was actually just meaning to state a point on a conversation we had in our telegram group. because people started to mistake steem/steemit as a fundraising platform for their projects and i dont see a great future for the platform if that kind of behaviour continues to grow roots.

in particular the discussion was about a post that had barely any content literally just asking for money. also stating that the additional aquired steempower is for personal profit. so fuck that.

on a side note, i'd happy to read a story or two from your experiences working in these places - also followed you for that :). generally i'd also agree that the bigger the organization is the more money gets wasted on beaurocracy and also the car park of the board :) there are a lot of interesting reports about organizations like the red cross and the likes wasting money on an unbelievable scale. then again, its probably not easy also to handle an organization with 5-6 figure amount of members.

Very nice post.. I always say we all are humans, the education which many of us has received in some part or the other way it created lots of barriers between us and tore human to races and so on.. we in the other good end have got minds which are more capable of correcting many of the wrong education around us..
The only way to keep us united as humans without barriers in our life is to think right..
