INTRODUCING @FUNDRAISERS!
The purpose of this post is to introduce this page (@fundraisers)
Online fundraising is a great way to raise money and obtain funds for various reasons.
No matter whether you are looking to fundraise for personal purposes such as medical, travel, school or other expenses or if you're working for a non profit organization, or charity, online fundraising here on Steemit can definitely help you launch and manage your campaign.
Many sites on the internet offer “Crowdfunding” services, many use social network sites to do crowdfunding, or a combination of both.
What is crowd funding? You may ask.
Crowdfunding is when you set up an online fundraising campaign based around a fundraising page, and accept money directly from that page using the forms of payment accepted/available.
So far to date there have been numerous fundraisers here on Steemit. From those that are out there to support the growth of minnows all the way to charity fundraisers.
So the idea of this page is to make it possible for Steemians and visitors to just open up one page on Steemit and find a list of fundraisers that are on Steemit.
Simple enough!
Why?
Well, lets look at some FACTS:
1- On average one in three people worldwide donated to charity in 2015 & 2016 and almost one in four were volunteers.
2- By 2018, the global population of social media users is projected to grow to 2.5 billion, or 1/3 of the world population. (that number seems to be growing)
3- Total giving grew over 4% in 2016 and in 2017. The vast majority of the giving was done by individuals.
6- 95% of NGOs worldwide have a social network profile.
7- Approximately 20% of all online donations come from mobile device users.
So, not to list pages of data and statistics here, you can get the drift as to why such a page can come in handy to everyone here who wishes to help others out.
To quote a fellow Steemian @stellabelle:
“……….so I have started to think more about how I can help people better understand Steemit.
I now understand why people find it so difficult to comprehend: Steemit has characteristics of the gift economy…………………”
“A Gift Economy is one where status is given to individuals based on what they give to others as opposed to a commodity or exchange economy where status is given to those individuals who have the most (Pinchot 1999). -Learning To Give“
Our fellow Steemian in her post actually gave some examples of how Steemians have helped others out with their “real life needs” not only via upvotes but with real life donations here listed here on Steemit.
“WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD THIS CAN BE” is all I can say!
Now this post was very inspirational and gave a very good example of why we should all do our best to help out when and where needed.
I guess that these words in some way were an inspiration to making this project (idea) happen. A page where fundraisers listed on peoples walls shall be resteemed and where fellow Steemians can with a click of a mouse, pad or screen list through them.
Upvoting and resteeming these wonderful posts trying to help people out without all the surfing around and searching.
Likewise the idea is to have this project go further into the concept of helping people in need.
We know that everyone wants to help, but we often ask ourselves “What difference can I make?”
Well, that is where this idea shall become great in that no person shall be able to ask that question ever again.
Thanks to this platform everyone is important.
I have written about it before, how I sincerely believe in minnows and the idea of all of us getting together, all of us who are not yet “Whales”.
& what better reason to get together than to help people who are in need!
Welcome to the concept of @fundraisers
and soon to be released @lifesavers .... the follow up project that shall be introduced in the coming days, we may not be whales, but together we can make a difference!
We hope to get this running at full STEEM ahead during the coming weeks.

The post maker has just lost her computer (had to post it from a friend's) and is trying desperately to save a puppy abandoned on her doorstep. All funds go through a registered 501c rescue in the US, so it is 100% above board. And tax receipts are available for cash donations. But every upvote helps!
I would like to add my voice to @bex-dk in this request. This is a person who could use all the help we can give her.
Hope this project will work fine I realy like this idea so I will follow you, upvote and resteem this post. Here is my post too

Welcome to Steem @fundraisers I have upvoted and sent you a tip
Aloha! This seems like a brand new account so welcome to the steemit platform. There is an upvote for you and keep up the good work!
As you are new to steemit and it can be hard for newcomers to boost their steem power so you could give @MinnowPowerUp a go. This service lets you earn up to 30% more steem power than just powering up! It's a subscription based daily upvote bot that draws its power from a delegation pool. I have also made this post where I explain my experience with the service in more depth and show how I earn over $1 a day in upvotes.
I wish you all the hard words that your sister marina from Egypt and need help and live in Taha that and my family
