Especially when you're doing social projects there's nothing more valuable than having a great team behind you that is as enthusiastic about the idea as you are.

Yesterday @surfermarly - the Founder of 'Dreams of the Ocean' - had the great pleasure to personally meet the new partners in our project: the President of The Red Cross Lanzarote and the Director of the aqua&sports center Lanzarote.

After talking through the most important tasks on an operational basis, there was room for chat, and @surfermarly had the great opportunity to introduce her partners to Steem in general and @fundition in particular.

It was an easy game to 'sell' fundition.io

One of the key definition points when setting up a charity project are surely these:

Where does the money come from, and where will it go?

In this specific case we're raising funds in a tokenized decentralized network which are then used to support kids in need through watersports activities on Canary Islands. A virtually generated crowdfund is destined for a social purpose in real life.

We're building a bridge between 'the new world' (the internet of value) and already established social structures.

The great benefit of showcases hosted on Steem is that they work!

Before we entered the meeting, the fund counter in our fundition.io account was at ~$168, and when we finished the meeting it was at ~$244 USD in Steem.

We figured that we should meet more often, if such increase in value can be only achieved by organizing a get together :-)

Fundition.io is the perfect dApp to explain both the functionality of the Steem eco-system and its impact in the real world. You can easily jump into some of the already set up projects and give your audience an idea of how 'value creation' works on Steem.

Make sure to always have some screenshots of Steem dApps or even a presentation with you in case you're at places where you have no stable internet connection. Visualizing the system helps considerably to sell it!

Adding some love to detail

When I was working as an event manager I learned very quickly that love to detail is actually the linchpin of any well organized event. - @surfermarly

Nobody will remember the essential basics, such as a well organized welcoming, a smooth course of action, a program on schedule, etc. But everybody will remember the unexpected details.

We're glad that the high contribution of the Steem community to our project will enable us to not only cover the basics.

Every of our 14 participants will be given an official diploma for the swim course and a personal picture - with a dedication from the Steem community - at the end of the event:

Enabling synergy effects

One of the great benefits in building partnerships are synergy effects.

If you cooperate with partners that are experts in their area, you can bundle forces and multiply your overall output.

We're happy that with The Red Cross we have a worldwide acting player on board of our ship. They're high professionals when it comes to leverage their network, create social impact and also build media awareness.

On the other hand the aqua&sports center is the very best venue possible for the activity. Extremely kind and high professional water lovers are currently anticipating all of our wishes and contributing much more than what is explicitely written in our contract.

We're stoked to work with these amazing people!
